      grade AMS silicone and designed to withstand temperatures up

      to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.   

   Therefore, they will not break down and deform or crack up

      like cork or neoprene.   

  Our gaskets seal uneven and warped surfaces and 

      eliminate corrosion.

   Gaskets are 100% reusable.

We do carry the Crankcase Top Cover Gasket for Franklin Engines – helicopter.

It is 1/16″ thick and part # RG-18532-H

 

 INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:

 1.   ALL SURFACES MUST BE CLEAN AND DRY,

       NO LUBRICATION OF ANY TYPE.   

       THIS ALSO INCLUDES ON THE THREADED HOLES IN THE CASE.

         

2.    INSTALL GASKET – DRY.

       TORQUE  20   TO  25   INCH POUNDS  GRADUALLY  AROUND and

       ACROSS COVER TO PULL DOWN EVENLY OVER THE ENTIRE COVER.

 

3.   PERFORM ENGINE RUN AND CHECK FOR LEAKS.

 

4.    IF THERE IS A LEAK, DO NOT CONTINUE TO TIGHTEN.

       THIS WILL ONLY MAKE THE LEAK WORSE.

       REMOVE THE GASKET AND EXAMINE ITS CONDITION.

       IF IT IS STILL SERVICEABLE, WASH IT BRIEFLY

       IN HOT WATER AND SOAP, RINSE AND DRY OFF AND INSTALL.

 

5.    TO RE-USE THE GASKET, CLEAN AS DESCRIBED  IN (4).

       CAUTION – DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN!

       Over tightening makes the gasket bulge out or squeeze out.

 

TO REUSE GASKET: 

  1.    Wash the gasket in hot soapy water.  
  2.    Rinse well and dry all surfaces thoroughly.   
  3.    Re-install gasket using the above installation instructions.
