TRANSMISSION OIL PAN GASKET – Silicone

This gasket is also called a Gearbox Sump Gasket

for Jaguar Daimler E Type Mk XJ12  and  XJ6

–   REAL GASKETS TENNESSEE is a manufacturer of state of the art  silicone

     rubber gaskets, such as valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets and more.

      therefore will not break down, dry up and deform or crack up like cork

      or neoprene.

Orange silicone gasket with 14 bolt holes – 1/8″ thick

Reusable gasket.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.    Wash the cover and cylinder head surfaces with solvent.    
2.    Remove all traces of oil
3.    The gasket must be installed DRY  (NO OIL or lube of any type).
4.    TORQUE:      20 to 25 INCH POUNDS 

CAUTION.

Do not over tighten!  

Over tightening causes the gasket to bulge out or squeeze out.

If that happens, then back off on the torque.

TO REUSE GASKET: 

1.    Wash gasket briefly in hot water and soap.   
2.    Rinse well and dry thoroughly. 
3.    Re-install gasket using the above installation instructions.

DO NOT SOAK IN SOLVENT OR GASOLINE.
