Valve Cover Gaskets  –  SILICONE

J-6-5, J-6-7, J-6-9;  R-540;  R-760;  R-975

–   Our silicone rubber gaskets are made from aerospace mechanical

     grade AMS  silicone and designed to withstand temperatures up

     to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.   

–   Therefore, they will not break down and deform or crack up like

     cork or neoprene.   

–   Our gaskets seal uneven and warped surfaces and 

     eliminates corrosion.

–   Gaskets are 100% reusable.

Gaskets are 1/16″ thick silicone.

Reusable. 

These gaskets are also sold as a set of 18 gaskets.  Part RG-2676-18

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.    Wash the valve cover surfaces with solvent.   
2.    Remove all traces of oil.
3.    Gasket surfaces must be clean and dry.
4.    Install gasket DRY.   
5.    TORQUE:  15 TO 20 INCH POUNDS.     

CAUTION – DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN!

Silicone gaskets should not bulge or “pooch out”.   

If this happens, then back off on the torque.

TO REUSE GASKETS:

1.    Wash gaskets briefly in hot water and soap.
2.    Rinse well and dry all surfaces.
3.    Re-install gaskets using the above installation instructions.
