VALVE COVER GASKET  –  Silicone

JACOBS Engines   R-755 Series

–   Our silicone rubber gaskets are made from aerospace mechanical 

     grade AMS  silicone and designed to withstand temperatures 

     up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.   

–    Therefore, they will not break down and deform or crack up like

      cork or neoprene.  

–    Our gaskets seal uneven and warped surfaces and 

      eliminates corrosion.

–    Gaskets are 100% reusable.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.    Wash the cover and mounting surfaces with solvent.   
2.    Remove all traces of oil.
3.    Install gasket dry.  No oil or lube of any type.
4.    TORQUE 15 TO 18 INCH POUNDS.   

CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

If the gasket starts to bulge or “pooch” out  

– you are over tightening.

TO RE-USE GASKET:

Wash gaskets briefly in hot soapy water.  

Rinse gasket and dry thoroughly.

Re-install gasket using the above installation instructions.
