VALVE COVER GASKETS – SILICONE

PRATT & WHITNEY  R-985 Series

–   Our silicone rubber gaskets are made from aerospace mechanical

     grade AMS  silicone and designed to withstand temperatures up to

     400 degrees Fahrenheit.   

–   Therefore, they will not break down and deform or crack up like

     cork or neoprene.   

–   Our gaskets seal uneven and warped surfaces and 

     eliminate corrosion.   

–   Gaskets are 100% reusable.

This is a complete set is 18 gaskets.

Gaskets are 1/16″ thick silicone

Reusable.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Clean valve covers with solvent and remove all traces of oil.

Gasket surfaces must be clean and DRY.

Install gaskets DRY.       

TORQUE: 10 TO 14 INCH POUNDS.      

CAUTION – DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN!

Over tightening makes the gaskets bulge out or squeeze out.  

If that happens then back off on the torque.

Instructions are included in the package of gaskets.

TO REUSE GASKETS: 

Wash gaskets briefly on hot soapy water. 

Rinse thoroughly and then dry all surfaces. 

Re-install gaskets following the above installation instructions.
